Jeff Peller of the Peller Estates Winery family is the man behind the vision of Sweetgrass Equestrian. Avid horseman, actor, theatre director, producer and entrepreneur. Jeff was the artistic director of the actors studio of Canada where he taught acting and directed many successful theatrical productions. His artistic resume includes many productions that he has acted, directed and produced to rave reviews. Jeff is no stranger to ambitious projects and big ideas. When he met Tiffany, their collective creative minds were an unrivaled team and they are not only now engaged but are the perfect business team bringing new equine partnerships and business developments to life.
Jeff is also a marathon runner who recently ran his sixth consecutive Boston Marathon on April 16 2019. Jeff has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. He runs each year in honor of his mother Connie who past away from Alzheimer’s May 28th 2013. He is member in good standing with Canadian Actors Equity Association and ACTRA. In 1998, Jeff was nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year by the Hamilton & District Chamber of Commerce. In 1999, he was nominated for and won the award for Commitment to Education and Training at the Greater Hamilton Tourism & Marketing Awards.
Jeff’s love for horses has been with him all throughout his life. He has competed in Hunter/Jumper and Steeple-chasing but his greatest riding enjoyment remains fox hunting where he is a Hunt Master of the Wellington Waterloo Hunt. His dream was to have a premium property for his horses to reside in and with Sweetgrass Equestrian that dream is now a reality. Jeff and Tiffany treat all their horses like family members and this is evident to all who visit their exquisite property. The care they provide starts with the premium hay they supply to their own horses and have now made available to a further reach with their business Canadian Hay Distributors.
