Whitney Walsh
Sweetgrass Equestrian Stable Manager
Whitney’s passion for horses started at a young age after finally wearing down her parents for riding lessons. Hour riding lessons turned into full weekend drop offs at the barn. Barn chores for any extra opportunity to ride. Whitney’s passion continued well into high school from working the A circuit shows on weekends and running the summer camps at Hendervale Equestrian. While attending the Masters at Spruce Meadows it was there she discovered the Equine Business program at Olds College and moved out west for two years to earn her diploma.
Since graduating Olds College in 2008, Whitney has pursued many opportunities to further her knowledge and experience in the equine industry. In 2011 she took an opportunity to ride, train and work in Spain with the Spanish horse. This opened her up to the world of Vaquero and Classical Dressage. In 2016 she found a need for elite local equine transport and started up her company The Horse Concierge at the same time stepping into the barn manager role at Stonehill Farms. Whitney takes pride in the level of care and service she provides, as well as the lasting relations she creates with her clients.
In her spare time you can find Whitney spending time with her horse Griffin and her dog Jager. She is also an avid fitness enthusiast and is always looking for ways to bring health and wellness into the equine industry.
